First batch of cuttings that I potted to begin the rooting process. There will be more to come. This early stage in propagation is always filled with hope and anticipation, hope that they develop strong roots and anticipation for the blooms far in the future.

Return to Epis and Rebuilding
I moved and lost my previous collection of epiphyllums. Took a while for me to get settled and unfortunately have less open backyard space to work with this time around, but definitely a challenge I’ll figure out over time.
I ordered rooted cuttings to get myself back into this long forgotten hobby and passion and purchased racks from Target and various materials from different online sources to help with my return.

Matured Version of German Empress aka Deutsche Kaiserin
The last time I posted pictures of German Empress aka Deutsche Kaiserin, it was from my 4-inch pot. I also had one growing in an 8-inch pot, which decided to bloom profusely this year for the first time. The flowers generally last long and are definitely lovely to have while awaiting the blooms of other plants.

Red-Orange Unknown Beauty
This was labeled as Tropical Incense when I bought it. Unfortunately, it didn't come out as expected and believe that this was incorrectly labeled. It's not unusual to get something different from what you were expecting, but it surely is a red-orange beauty. Just posting this up for flower admireres, but it will be leaving my collection altogether.

(The Return of) Wedding Bells
I really love this hybrid (Wedding Bells), both for its name and appearance. It was nice to greet the new year of blooms with this one. I look forward to posting up pictures of first-time bloomers in the coming months.

A lot changes within a year...
This is a before and after shot, to compare the changes that can occur in about a year. My collection has grown a great deal, both in size and quantity. I was shocked to see how much as changed.

(The Return of) Melt Down
The plant grows like crazy, but Melt Down's bloom is definitely nice. It was nice to see this bloom again in the Fall even though it bloomed earlier in the Spring. I expect even more blooms in the Spring next year.
